Lionsgate Thriller The Protégé Gets Official Trailer and Photos

Lionsgate dropped the first The Protégé trailer for its upcoming assassin thriller starring Samuel L. Jackson, Maggie Q, and Michael Keaton. The revenge film was previously known as The Asset and is set to release on August 20, 2021. The film sees Jackson’s character Moody, a legendary assassin, get killed band his protégé Anna (Q) looking to avenge his death.

Several photos have been released for the film too showing all three stars, plus a stylish movie poster. The summer release is written by Richard Wenk and directed by Martin Cambell (Casino Royale).
