Why ‘Insomnia’ Is a Good Christopher Nolan Movie and a Bad Remake

Spoilers ahead for Insomnia. Watching Insomnia is a glimpse into an alternate universe where Christopher Nolan is a journeyman director who doesn't really care much about themes and just makes handsomely crafted pictures with talented actors.
